This is awesome! I had not heard of this site before and I absoutley love it. I have often felt that youtube had its limitations when it came to classroom useage because the poster can do and change whatever they want about the video. Often, I will be watching a video on youtube and then it will be interrupted or altered in a way that makes in unuasble in a lesson. Teachertube is a great resource becasue you have more of a gaurentee that the videos will be of a higher quality and without major alterations. I will definitly keep this in my teaching toolkit!

I love this as an alternative to youtube where there is questionable content and advertisments. In addition to being a resource in the classroom to show students how to do something from a different perspective, it is also a place for teachers to share their teaching strategies. Listening to how other educators teach the same subject/grade level is a great way to enrich our own teaching (such as how we provide notes, the avenues we relay information such as ppt and smartboard and how we explain it to the students such as real life examples and analogies). I will definitely start to use this in my practice and update the class if I find something particularly helpful. Please do the same :)

This site is fantastic! i had never heard of it before now. I really wanted to try adding a youtube video to my PowerPoint but wasn't sure how I would find one that had content appropriate for elementary students. The way youtube videos can be altered without notice makes it diffficult to use in the classroom because the alterations aren't always appropriate for school. I really like the teachertube site because it was easy to navigate and search for topics that fit the curriculum. The videos I looked at were very appropriate and informative and some are done by students.

I was introduced to Teacher tube last semester by someone in one of my classes. It is an excellent tool to use in the classroom. Many schools frown upon using sites like youtube because you never know what information will come up. Teacher tube is a safe and reliable site. As a teacher I would even have students do their own research using teacher tube because I am confident that the information or videos that are on the site are appropriate. I would not be so confident in you tube and other sites like it.

This is a great site for teachers. It gives teachers a place to share their video's and educational documents with each other. It would also be a good place to share students videos they made about a subject. Students work harder and perform better when they are creating things for the real world. What better way to motivate a student to put their best effort forward. I looked at a few videos on Teacher Tube and was impressed with one inparticular. It was called, "Technology Fear Factor in Education." Very creative way of "pointing out" that we as educators need to teach student how to use technology. Check it out if you get a change.

I was really happy to see that I can use teacher tube at school. My school has a subscription to United Streaming but they do not let us download movies during school hours. It is nice that you can get these videos almost instantly. There is a range in quality of the videos I previewed on the sight. Some are very strange and would probably distract students from the content you are trying to cover. I really like how some of them are narrated by kids about the same age as my students.
